The forum rules describes your universal obligations and rights as a user of Simplest Tastes. Should a rule be broken, proper measures will be taken to correct it. The administrators always has a responsibility to motivate a punishment, though. As user, you are personally responsible for reporting to an administration if you feel there has been a rule break.
The administrators are liable to follow the rules, too. If you think an administrator is guilty of breaking the forum rules, please contact another administrator!
Opinions and suggestions to these rules should be posted in the Suggestions forum. Rules are subject to change. Any and all changes will be reported in the Announcement forum.

[¤] Bullying and/or purposefully hurtful behaviour is not allowed. Critique should be given in a constructive manner, and comments that can be experienced as purposefully hurtful is not tolerated. It is the receiver that decides at the moment of offending if it is harmful or not, and they have an obligation to report it to an administrator, who will then judge the matter.
As receiver of a message, you should always consider what is roleplay and what is personal attack. There will, of course, be characters that are rude, and that do not hesitate to use a rough language or radical views: this does not necessarily mean that the person behind the character shares them. You should always contact an administrator if you feel uncomfortable.
[¤] All posts should be marked with a date in the title of the roleplay, or in the first post of the thread. The first post, or the title, should be marked with the date of the roleplay in-game as follows: DD [Month] YYYY (ex. 2th of January, 2062). Each roleplaying thread can only take place during one day to make administration of the timeline easier.
The current year is 2062. If you want to roleplay in a year before or after that, contact an administrator to get permission. Observe that these will be given seldom in the case of years following the current one, since current events might severely alter the world of the future.
[¤] Powerplay (PP) is not allowed! Powerplay (shortened PP) is when a person deliberately decides what another person's character says and does, without the other person's permission. Each member has sole rights to their own characters; what they do, say, think and feel.
For example, in a fight the owner of Character 1 cannot write; "Character 1 stabs Character 2 in the stomach. S/he gets a huge cut and starts to bleed." It is, however, allowed to write; "Character 1 stabs in the direction of Character 2's stomach", leaving the owner of Character 2 a chance to react and decide if their character gets hit or not.
Special note: Powerplay can also be when a character never gets hit and always prevails. Keep that in mind and be reasonable with what is possible or not. Administrators has the right to close down threads where characters are powerplayed, after one warning.
Another way of powerplaying is to create a roleplay where the ending is pre-decided, without informing the other roleplayers about it. A pre-decided ending is allowed, however, if all participants are aware of it and has agreed.
[¤] God Moding (GM) is not allowed! God Moding (shortened GM) means that a character don't have any weaknesses or that the conditions surrounding it are unrealistic. One example of God Moding is a character who never gets harmed in a battle, is beloved by all, or stands above the norms in the way it acts and gets treated. If you are unsure what GM is, or whether or not an action is counted within the GM border, please contact an administrator.
[¤] Threads should be created in the correct forum. Categories and forum names helps you find the right place for your post. To write personal or unrelated (short) comments during a roleplay is alright, so long as the sentence is written between (()) or [ ] and not the sole purpose of the post.
If you don't find a forum that suits your needs, contact an administrator.
[¤] One character per account. Since we have an economics system on the site, only one character per account is allowed. You are, of course, entitled to as many characters as you can handle, but keep them on separate accounts.
[¤] The roleplay's setting should be respected. As user, you are responsible for consenting with Simplest Tastes's setting when creating profiles, characters and writing roleplaying posts.
This rule includes the username. The name should be the name of your character. This also applies to your profile picture. It doesn't have to be your own, but note that you personally are responsible for all the material you publish.
