Avalon
Avalon is located to the north west of the city core, and is considered the business district of Shangrila. Most of the bigger companies have located their industries in this area, and here you can also find smaller business such as independent craftsmen or smaller companies with no connections to the larger industries in Shangrila.
The western parts of Avalon are inhabited by bankers, business managers, and people of occupations that are of higher influence than those living in Hesperia. In the better parts of Avalon you can also find artists, lawyers, and some managers that prefer to live close to their business, so it’s a rich neighbourhood with large houses, and a few apartments for rent that is located in tower blocks. It is still considered middle-class by Shangrilan standards, though.
Some Avalonians can afford to hire housekeeping services from Hesperia, creating a mindset of superiority even if the poorer people living in Avalon is still considered less worthy by people from Eden or Elysia. Due to the many kinds of different people from different backgrounds that inhabit Avalon, the community isn’t nearly as tight as that of Hesperia. Most Avalonians keep to their contacts in either Hesperia or Eden (depending in their class) when it comes to recreational interests. Avalon is all about business.
